They met in Tokyo ...

... on the bus to the airport. Today, Michael Maharam and his artist wife Sabine Steinmair live in an old print shop in NoLita, Manhattan. Michael is a keen colector of art and design, which you can find all over the place, including a cradle designed in 1963 by Nanna Ditzel for their daughter Frankie Slim.
